Decorative Basket Trays vs Wicker Gift Baskets for Gourmet Packaging

Our gift basket businesses and specialty food shops use these basket trays as the base for gourmet and wine arrangements because the right footprint and wall height keep the finished package stable and presentation ready. Retailers pick paperboard or corrugated styles that match the weight of the products and the look they want on the shelf.

  • Cesto Kraft - E-Flute Market Tray

    Paperboard vs Corrugated Market Trays

    • Paperboard trays give a clean decorative look for lighter gift assortments and food sets.
    • Corrugated E flute market trays provide more structure for heavier gourmet and wine packages.
    • Holiday and decorative trays offer more of a theme than a plain wicker gift basket when that is the presentation goal.
    • Many of our customers standardize a few sizes so tissue, shred, and outer bags can be stocked consistently.
  • Natural Kraft - Clear View Box - 5-7/8 x 3-7/8 x 1-3/8"

Open Trays, Handles, and Clear Lids

    • Open trays are easy to merchandise but usually need a clear bag or film for transport and protection.
    • Trays with handles make the finished gift easier to carry for customers.
    • Clear lids need exact size match and enough headspace so bows and tall items are not crushed.
  • Kraft Hexagon Trays

    Sizing and Building the Arrangement

    • Measure the base footprint rather than the top opening, especially on tapered trays.
    • Build from the heaviest and tallest items outward so the tray stays balanced.
    • Match the tray to the outer basket bag or shipping carton so the finished package travels well.
  • Black E-Flute - Corrugated Market Tray - 12-1/2 x 8-5/8 x 3-5/16"
