How Do You Know If You Can Get A Foil Print?
- If your image is 2 or less colors
- Has Clean Outlines
- No Shading
- Minimal Overlap of Colors. (some overlap allowed - we need to review artwork)
See the Above Picture Example of the Perfect Piece store packaging. The word
"Perfect" overlaps the green leaf. It is a simple overlap. Not complicated.
Example of a customer who had Original Artwork, however they only wanted a 2 Color Foil Hot Stamp.
|
Original Artwork - Requires a Process Print because logo has:
- Multiple Colors in the Olive Leaf Branch
- To many colors on top of other colors in the Branch
- Tight Registration - Too many colors touching
- Shading
Redrawn Artwork for a Foil Hot Stamp:
- Nice Clean Outlines
- Simple two color logo
- No Shading

Foil Hot Stamp Color Choices
Plate Charges: Can be a 1 time fee!
We have to create a plate in the size of your logo.
The plate is used to print on the bag or box.
A two color Imprint requires 2 Plates.
Once the plate is created we keep it for your future purchases so you don't have to buy any
more plates! - Unless you want a different size of logo, then you will need to create another
plate.
For example, if you purchase bags and boxes and want your logo on both - and the logo is the
same size, Then you only need to purchase 1 plate.
If you want 2 different sizes of your logo imprinted you need to buy 2 plates. For example you
may be buying jewelry boxes which would have a small logo and shopping bags where you
would want your logo to be larger- this requires 2 plates to be made.
If your logo is also two colors, 4 plates would be required. 1 Plate for each color and size. 2
Sizes + 2 Colors = 4 Plates
Pricing for Foil Hot Stamping is on each product page. It is the same price as an Ink Imprint, therefore We only have 1 Pricing Structure called "Imprint Charge"
|
2 Charges Occur: The Plate Charge and the Imprint Charge
Imprint Charge:
This is the charge that occurs every time you order or re-order. It is the cost of the machine
running all of the boxes and bags through, labor, and foil or ink cost.
Imprint charges for Boxes are:
Per Color and Per 1,000 boxes and Per Category (Style of Box).
Imprint Charges for Bags are:
Per Color and Per Bag Size and Per 1,000 bags.
To Better Explain:
Anytime that the machine has to be changed for a new color or new size of box or bag, a new
imprint charge will occur. Also a new imprint charge will occur at each 1,000 piece interval.
